Infatuation?

I have had a long weird..taste in music. When I was younger all I listened to was underground bands, because my brothers room was right next door and a vent joined our rooms. So I heard his music, and begun to like it ^^ So I listened to quite odd music for my age. Then I kind of fell into a groove of listening to Pop, Hip-hop, Rap ect. For years. I listened to all the most popular music ect. on 101.1, 95.9 and just recently...about a couple months ago I kind of converted to only listening to Alternative, and some pop. Mostly alternative.

Recently...for about a couple weeks i've been OBSESSING over heavy metal/rock. If you have heard of Killswitch Engage, As I lay dying, nonpoint, Alice in Chains and so on..I even like the screaming in some of the songs, which is SO unlike my personality o.o it doesn't match whatsoever. I would never think i'd like screaming in songs. I don't like the screaming through the whole song, but like The End of Heartache by Killswitch Engage is like my FAVORITE song right now.

I like nonpoint because I really appreciate deep/meaningful lyrics. So lately I have been all about killswitch engage and nonpoint.

Its just, so odd. You would never think I would listen to this music but I love it. I love the guitar sooo much, aswell as lyrics.

Any thoughts? Am I normal? haha. Is this just a fad, or am I, myself changing?
